becka lundy is a soprano, voice teacher, yoga teacher, and recording artist in philadelphia. they received a bachelor's of music in voice performance and a master's of music in voice performance from temple university's boyer school of music. they have performed roles with temple university opera as well as area recitals. becka had many cancelled engagements in 2020 and as a result cofounded poptart punk opera along with marcelyn lebovitz to produce marc hoffeditz's non motus in summer 2021. becka teaches voice lessons remotely and in the philadelphia area. becka also teaches yoga as an adjunct instructor in temple university's kinesiology physical activity program and is 200 hour certified. becka has collaborated and recorded with numerous bands in the philadelphia area, and is available and interested in new collaborations.
while in undergrad, becka founded and fronted punk band flamingo chicks, playing local shows from 2015 and releasing studio eps in 2017 and 2019. they have since released music with philadelphia bands science book, echo lad, and forest kids collective. becka became active independently in philadelphia local music in 2017, booking and running local shows in the basement of their house. they have since used their experience organizing shows to found poptart punk opera, a do-it-yourself opera company, with marcelyn lebovitz. becka has also been involved in the salon by andrea clearfield, running live sound from 2017-2020.
becka's graduate studies and performance opportunities have been heavily impacted by covid19, but they continue to work with temple university opera. their performance of amy in mark adamo's little women was cancelled in 2019, and since then they have covered the governess in benjamin britten's the turn of the screw and appeared in johann strauss' die fledermaus as a party aria singer.
becka values collaboration, communication, growth, and resourcefulness in their art making. they believe in making opportunities out of all situations and sharing those opportunities with others. they particularly enjoy new and interesting takes on opera, and are searching for the perfect way to fit opera into their eclectic lifestyle.

becka will listen to the singer's goals and use classically-informed technique to protect the singer's voice for original song performance, karaoke, or singing just for fun.

becka will provide a one-time coaching to help singers prepare for recording, performance, and competition. becka is also available for one-time recording coachings, sitting in with the singer in the studio to provide guidance during recordng sessions.
